SAN JUAN. Slovenskí reprezentanti prehrali svoj druhý duel na MS vo futbale do 20 rokov 2023, keď v skupine B podľahli Ekvádoru 1:2.

Zverenci Alberta Rusnáka st. sa dostali do vedenia v prvom polčase, keď sa presadil druhýkrát na turnaji Máté Szolgai. Ekvádorčania však stihli do polčasu vyrovnať a skóre otočili po zmene strán.

Slováci vyhrali prvý zápas nad Fidži 4:0, takže víťazstvo a pravdepodobne aj bod by im stačil na postup zo skupiny. Po prehre si však situáciu výrazne skomplikovali.

Účinkovanie v základnej skupine uzavrú v piatok 26. mája o 20.00 SELČ súbojom s favoritom skupiny USA.

Priebeh zápasu

I.polčas:

Ekvádorčania boli v úvode aktívnejší a útočili, viackrát však prepadli a do šestnástky sa dostal ich súper.

Kombináciám Slovákov však chýbala presnosť, ako prvý tak poslal strelu na bránu favorit zásluhou Daniela de la Cruza.

Krajný obranca to skúsil spoza šestnástky, Hrdina loptu vyrazil a následný pokus išiel nad. Juhoameričania potom prevzali kontrolu nad hrou, no výraznejšiu šancu si dlho nevedeli vytvoriť.

Prišla v 26. minúte, keď napádali počas rozohrávky Slovákov a z diaľky to skúsil Paez.

Ekvádor mal po necelej polhodine hry už piaty rohový kop, štandardkám však chýbal nápad a slovenská defenzíva si s nimi poradila.

Práve po tomto rohu založili Slováci akciu, ktorá viedla k prvému gólu - Sauer si potiahol loptu z krídla a po kľučke ju posunul Szolgaiovi.

Ten poslal z diaľky prvú strelu do priestoru ekvádorskej brány a na jeho pokus k ľavej žrdi Napa nestačil.

Slováci ešte vytvárali ofenzívnu aktivitu, no strely prišli na bránu Hrdinu - Angulo mieril najprv z hranice šestnástky tesne nad a v nadstavení ušiel slovenskej obrane Cuero, ktorý vyrovnal.

II.polčas:

Do druhého dejstva vstúpili aktívne obe strany. Slovákom najprv nevyšiel center v blízkosti brány, ich súperom nádejná kombinácia na hranici pokutového územia.

O chvíľu takmer poslal svoj tím prvýkrát do vedenia Zambrano - využil pozíciu Hrdinu ďaleko od brány a z polovice ihriska trafil brvno.

To o chvíľu znova opečiatkoval Paez a v rovnakej akcii strelil výstavný gól Sosa. Jeho tím následne kontroloval hru a do ničoho veľkého sa nepúšťal.

Prípadnú ofenzívnu snahu riešili Slováci aj nedovolenými zákrokmi a žlté karty si tak vyslúžili Kopásek, Mario Sauer i Bagín.

Na začiatku nadstavenia mal veľkú šancu práve Sauer - po kombinácii s Kopáskom a Jamborom však trafil z bezprostrednej blízkosti brankára Napu, ktorý následne prikryl loptu. Jeho tím si už dokázal ustrážiť tesný náskok.

Hlasy po zápase

Albert Rusnák, tréner Slovenska: "Mali sme celkom dobrý vstup do zápasu, boli sme na lopte. Súper trocha prevzal iniciatívu, ale všeobecne to bolo fajn, dali sme gól. Nesmieme však dopustiť góly do šatne. Na začiatku druhého polčasu sme eliminovali súpera, mali sme optickú prevahu ale len jednu príležitosť. Výkon bol v určitých pasážach veľmi slušný a na tom budeme stavať aj v ďalších zápasoch. Hráči do toho dali všetko a siahli si na dno svojich síl."

Máté Szolgai, strelec gólu Slovenska: "Zápas nám nevyšiel podľa predstáv. Začali sme dobre, ale nakoniec sme prehrali. Podarilo sa mi dať gól, ale bol by som spokojnejší s víťazstvom."

Sebastian Kóša, hráč Slovenska: "Mrzí to, najmä keď sme vyhrávali. Bol to náročnejší súper ako Fidži, mali prepracovanejší systém a silné individuality. Musíme mať hlavy hore, je pred nami zápas a máme všetko vo svojich rukách. Nemôžeme nad tým smútiť. Zápas s USA je o všetko, musíme v ňom bodovať."
